MDINA
Today’s excursion takes us to the central part of Malta that is
dominated by the ancient citadel of Mdina. On passing through
the narrow streets of Mdina, the “silent city” we will admire
the imposing bastions that command a magnificent view of most
of the island. On leaving Mdina through the “Greek Gate” we stop
at the catacombs before proceeding to the cliffs of Dingli. After
lunch visits to the botanic gardens of San Anton and the impressive
dome of Mosta’s parish church are included besides the craft centre
at Ta’ Qali, where you are given time for shopping.
VALLETTA
& THE MALTA EXPERIENCE
Our guided tour through the bustling streets will first allow
you to view the Barracca Gardens that command a breathtaking panorama
of the Grand Harbour and then to St. John’s Co-Cathedral, adorned
in riches that date back to the Knights of Malta including the
world famous Caravaggio painting that is on display in the Oratory
of this Cathedral. We also visit the Church Museum that is adorned
with Flemish tapestries. After we will also view from the outside
the Grand Master’s Palace and other buildings of historical importance.
Lastly we stop at the Malta Experience, a multivision show that
depicts Malta’s history throughout the ages.

GOZO
EXPERIENCE
Tour to Malta’s sister island of Gozo. After a twenty-minute crossing,
on setting foot in Gozo you will notice that although both islands
are similar in history and development Gozo has a character entirely
of its own. Gozo, which is a three hilled island, is greener and
more picturesque than Malta. During this excursion, we visit the
Azur Window at Dwejra, the citadel in Victoria, the bay of Xlendi,
and we also stop at the spectacular cultural experience where
Gozo’s history throughout the centuries is brought back to life!
Free time for shopping will also be given – Gozo is renowned for
its woolen goods and handmade lace.

TEMPLES & LOCAL LIFESTYLE
Dont miss this wonderful full day excursion and learn what a typical day would be like for the Maltese people in the south of the island and explore a few of the remaining unspoilt villages that through their winding roads and alleys lead us to a typical Maltese pjazza where progress did not leave its mark. Next, we are off to the village of Qrendi where we visit the elaborate temples of Hagar Qim which are Maltas most prominent historical sight and from where we can enjoy breathtaking views of the mesmerizing sea and the islet of Filfla. We proceed to Wied Iz-Zurrieq and down to the famous Blue Grotto and if weather permits, we are given the opportunity to take a boat ride (boat fee not included) around the various caves surrounding the area. After a lovely lunch we are taken to the pretty fishing village of Marsaxlokk whose waterfront is lined with luzzus all painted in traditional colours that make this bay so unique and where time is given to browse through the open air market held daily in this serene little village. Our excursion comes to an end with a visit to Ghar Dalam, the cave of obscurity, which was the dwelling of the first inhabitants of the Maltese Islands.
